More than 3,000 business and IT leaders were surveyed on their data management challenges and successes, including the impact 2020 had on IT.
Respondents stated that their data protection capabilities are unable to keep pace with their organization’s digital transformation demands, posing a threat to business continuity:
- 14% of all data is not backed up at all
- 58% of backup recoveries are failing
Across the board organizations are looking to modernize their data protection through cloud adoption. By 2023, 77% of businesses will be using cloud-first backup, increasing the reliability of backups, shifting cost management and freeing up IT resources to focus on digital transformation projects.
